DESCRIPTION:El Día Internacional de Concienciación sobre el Ruido es una campaña internacional de concienciación de los ciudadanos sobre este contaminante ambiental\, que pretende alertar sobre los efectos adversos para el bienestar y la salud de las personas. Esta campaña fue creada en 1996 por el Center of Hearing and Communication (CHC)\, y se conmemora el último miércoles de abril de cada año. \nEl ruido afecta a las personas de múltiples formas\, pero únicamente los efectos auditivos y la molestia parecen ser asumidos realmente\, lo que desincentiva las actuaciones por parte de las autoridades y gestores de actividades ruidosas. En esta jornada\, universidades\, autoridades\, centros de investigación y departamentos de salud pública organizan múltiples actividades para hacer tomar conciencia a la ciudadanía y las administraciones públicas\, llamando a una militancia contra el ruido que consiga\, en el largo plazo\, reducir los niveles existentes\, especialmente en las ciudades. \nFuente: Wikipedia
